- Government Christian high school Sialkot was established as Scotch Mission High school by Scottish missionaries belonging to the Church of Scotland Mission in 1857.Mr Thomas Hunter & his wife Jane Scott came to Sialkot in August 1855.Mr.Ismail & Mr.Nasrullah joined Mr.hunter as missionary.In 1857 Mr.Hunter was murdered by rebels. Before his death Mr.Thomas hunter and his beloved wife established two vernacular schools in Sialkot. Scotch mission school established as a middle school in 1857 which was upgraded to secondary level in 1864.Mr.Ismail was the first Headmaster of the said school. In 1860 Sayed Mir Hassan joined Scotch mission school and he was appointed as an arabic and Persian teacher in school as well as scotch mission college.In 1857 main building was constructed.In 1889 Scotch Mission College was was established in the same premises. There after the building of Murray College was built,and college record and staff was shifted in the new building on 27th October 1909.
- Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal joined scotch mission school in 1883 at that time prominent scholars were deputed to teach the students i.e James P.Ling , Waugh Farlu, Harnam Singh,Imam din Shehbaz, Sir John Tailor, Sir Tehal singh, Paadri A.Marks, A.M Emorson , Burj Lal Babu,Dr. Negson,Naringen Das and Waugh George.Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal acquired his education from above said teachers.Pandit Sawami Teerath Ram also served in this Institute as a reformer. Allama Dr. Muhammad Iqbal passed his middle standard exam in 1891, Enterance/matriculation exam in 1893 and intermediate exam in 1895.
- Revolutionary Poet Faiz Ahmad Faiz joined this privileged institute in 1917 and passed his Matriculation in 1927. In 1969 Mission ceased its activities in Pakistan and school name was changed Christian High School Sialkot instead of Scotch Mission High School Sialkot.
- In 1972 school was nationalized as per Government policy.Now it is need of the day that the said school may please be declared as a "National Heritage" since our National Heroes quenched their thirst and explored treasure of profound knowledge from this historic institution.(Bajwa)
